Geodetic Dome
The world’s first inflatable geodetic dome, built in this case for the ‘Aree Protette Alpi Marittime‘ institute for climate change.
You can visit the Palaclima located inside the village set up for the ‘Fausto Coppi’ Gran Fondo Tour. This inflatable soundproof dome was used, among other things, for the presentation of the Unesco candidacy of the Mediterranean Alps.
The mobile structure was designed with the aim of informing citizens about the effects of climate change on the territory, affecting the French parks of the Mercantour and the Ecrins, the protected areas of the Maritime Alps, the Marguareis, Gesso and Stura, as well as the hills of Langa and Barolo.
