Art and performance
This was the work provided for Fundaçao Bienal de São Paulo and Galleria Continua at La Biennale di Venezia – Brazilian Pavilion.
The installation ‘With the heart coming out of the mouth’ is a fresh piece of art and beauty which envelops all parts of the body sculpted by Jonathas de Andrade as well as the viewers, leading them to move within an increasingly crowded space.
Proud to have been alongside Jonathas de Andrade and his metaphor for Brazil through the body parts, we took care of its very heart, described by curator Jacopo Crivelli Visconti as follows: “great, generous and desperate as it is, sometimes it cannot find enough place in the chest and ends up coming out of the mouth”.
