Inflatable Installation for XC|90 – Milan Fashion Week 2025

During Milan Fashion Week 2025, we designed and produced a site-specific inflatable installation for @monogrid for the XC|90 fashion show by @istitutomarangoni_milano, hosted in the historic Galleria Meravigli in Milan.

Conceived as a scenographic backdrop and architectural stage element, the inflatable volume redefined the relationship between backstage and public space, concealing the technical passage and becoming the entrance and exit point for the models. Integrated within the monumental arch of the gallery, it transformed a functional element into a scenographic presence capable of engaging with the existing architecture and enhancing the rhythm of the runway.

The inflatable’s essential and sculptural form followed the proportions of the entrance arch, creating a balance between the solidity of the historic architecture and the lightness of a temporary structure. A soft yet monumental volume that, through its mere presence, altered the perception of the space and created a new atmosphere for the fashion show.

More than a simple backdrop, the installation becomes an ephemeral architectural element: a spatial device in which the inflatable transforms into architecture, experience, and visual storytelling, establishing a dialogue between historical heritage, fashion, and contemporary design.
