Among our most representative projects is the Gufram Cactus, one of the most iconic symbols of Italian design. Created in 1972 by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, the Cactus revolutionised the concept of furniture by blurring the boundaries between nature and interior spaces, becoming an international icon of creativity, irony, and experimentation. A symbol of the bold and unconventional spirit of the 1970s, it continues to inspire the world of contemporary design today.
We had the privilege of reinterpreting this iconic piece through the creation of spectacular large-scale inflatable versions that faithfully preserve every detail while amplifying its expressive power. The inflatable designed by Maurizio Cattelan for Gufram sailed across the Venice Lagoon during the 2015 Venice Biennale, becoming a striking artistic installation. Later, the Rossocactus and Metacactus took centre stage during Milan Design Week 2022 at an event hosted by the Triennale Milano, demonstrating how these monumental inflatables can engage audiences and enhance some of the world's most prestigious design venues.
