Italian 2015 Expo’s Tree of Life Logo
Designed and built in 28 days, the inflatable Italian logo, located at the base of the Tree of Life, rises from the heart of Lake Arena.
It said “Long Live Italy” nearly 2,000 times for 21 million visitors during the Expo 2015 in Milan.
The inflatable Italian logo, 6 meters in diameter and 1 meter in depth is situated at the base of the Tree of Life. It is clearly visible to everyone who passed through the Expo gates and is the showpiece for Italian planning and Italian made products. It is also a source of great satisfaction for FLY IN …
““We should not think that something should be made Italy only because we are in Italy. We must be daring, innovative and do our research. Then it will be made in Italy because it is good. And you can believe in it.””
Designed by Mauro Oggero, CEO and founder of FLY IN, and built in only 28 days, the Italian logo has inflated and deflated 10 times a day, every day for all of the 184 days of the Italian Expo; totally automated and synchronized with the musical sequences of the various shows and daily events that have animated the square.
During 6 months and almost 2,000 performances, maintenance was needed only 5 times.
The success of the Tree of Life is evident by its 250 thousand pictures on Instagram and 1.8 million on Facebook and with the hashtag “Tree of Life” surpassing that of the Christmas tree.
Da maggio 2016 insieme al gonfiabile del logo Orgoglio Italia potrebbe diventare uno dei simboli permanenti di Milano riprendendo vita al termine dei lavori di smantellamento del Sito Espositivo.
